BCI started business in 1987 building trails for the Forest Service. Since that time, we have completed more than 30 trail jobs for the Forest Service ranging from hard-surfaced handicapped accessible trails to motorcycle and ATV trails to single-track back country trails. In all of our work, we use “light on the land and leave-no-trace” ethics in all our camp and work procedures.
We have also installed numerous trail bridges ranging from hand-hewn log bridges in the back country to weathering steel pre-stressed walking bridges. On these projects, BCI has installed extensive amounts of erosion-control products to re-establish the pristine beauty of our national forests that have been lost as a result of a lack of erosion control and/or misuse. At BCI, our goal in trail building and maintenance is to make the beauty of the back country accessible to all people, whether handicapped or active outdoor enthusiasts, while maintaining an atmosphere of protection for our national forests.
